Dancing for ANGIE GEGA was the first door into the entertainment world. While parents worked hard to make the ends meet, ANGIE’s friend became dancing. When the world did not have time to listen to ANGIE, dancing did. When the friend at school bullied her, dancing was there for her.
Necessity to grasp a saving hand, a listening ear, and understanding expression soon turned into an immense feeling of love. Dancing was her emotional invisible friend. Every beat was a welcoming voice to an accepting world without judgment. Love and passion determined her performance and ultimately that was what opened more doors for her in the entertainment world. The way she delivered the moves, the passion and intention to reach the audience, the depth of emotion expressed not only in body movement, but in every pause, facial expression, and breath taken while dancing were the elements that made a difference.
In 2001, on a city dance competitions among high schools, she received the first place as an individual performer, on a dance routine choreographed by her, separating her from the dance group. Dancing opened many doors for ANGIE GEGA in her music, modeling and acting career. Her first feedback in her acting performance was credited to lots of love and passion but also to the dancing background which helped her adaptation of emotion in the stage.
